Judging from the kills brought into the house by my two indoor/outdoor cats, those figures are about half the true kill rate.

Watching our two indoor cats play with the first mouse stupid enough to wander into our house in ten years, I'd say that the actual kill rate is too low.

A lot less than humans! 😥
Many years ago I worked for a Veterinarian and during an autopsy of a cat I remarked that the cat really had a very small heart relative to the rest of its body, and the doctor said, "Well, if cats had bigger hearts, there'd be nothing left alive in this world as the only thing that saves most of their prey is that they are very short winded due to the size of their hearts."
