My father has always loved his cars and I have inherited that love also. I decided I would do a photograph for him for Christmas, and this is what I came up with. It was taken at a local car show.

Is that a 37' and can you tell us more about the processing?

This is a hugely appealing and wonderfully pp'd image, T. And I don't even care about cars :)
The tonal range is superb, showing the shiny curves and reflections, and contrasted against the black areas.
I would love to see this worked even further, with the car on the left removed, the bits in the back on the right, and especially the white line on the pavement.

You know I'm not into post, but it would be wonderful to see pavement and sky! S-
If I remember correctly it is a '33 or '34. As for the processing, it was all done in lightroom. I converted to B&W, applied an infrared effect and used a pencil drawing preset. I than played with the color levels and adjusted the highlights and contrast.
Thank you Linda. This was one of the first real edits that I did in Lightroom and was not very experienced. I have learned a lot since than and will try your suggestions. I always like to see what else I can get from a photo. Thanks for the input.

Welcome to the forum. Its really the only place to be!!!
Your car is very nice and neatly processed. Personally I think its over processed but if you like it thats just bo diddly fella. Underneath all that processing is a great looking car and sometimes one can lose the subject in PS or LR. Gentle on the sliders is the way I would have gone but as it is its not unpleasant
