Followed by "REDNECK Figure eight Chain Racing" and "Redneck Chain Trailer racing".

I don't think Redneck Butts Pucker!!!

In Chain Racing 2 or 3 cars are chained together. The driver in the middle has no brakes or steering control. They draw straws for middle position.

It's been over 40 years since I have seen figure 8 racing back at the old Islip Speedway. Sadly the Islip Speedway is long gone now.

They must have practiced by running a lot of stop lights.

My younger brother went to a demolition derby I had never heard of before, year or so ago. It was a 'Combine' demolition derby, held in Washington state. (Combines are the things that harvest grain or corn) Craziest thing he had ever seen. Guess all Rednecks are not just in the south.

I carefully watched that racing. There is no driver in the middle cars.

I've only seen that figure 8 racing when done with school buses. OOPS lied, saw the cars once a while back on TV. It has been ages since we've seen Demolition on TV.

I assume the middle cars are reserved for women texting while driving.

Sooooo, who won??????
Figure 8 racing is nuts, chain racing looks like something I'd like to do after a few gulps of moonshine.

Growing up on Staten Island we had Weissglass Stadium in Port Richmond. Stock car races every Saturday night and once a month was the demolition derby. My father traded in his 56 Plymouth for a 60 Chevy Belair at Memoly Motors Dodge which was in front of the Stadium. The salesman told as the Plymouth wasn't worth much, it would be in the derby at the end of the month. We went and watched it get trashed about halfway thru the heat. Dad said he could've done better! The site where the track was is now a sewerage plant and Memoly is long gone also.

It takes special kind of morons with very big cajones to drive in those kind of races. My surprise was that nobody wrecked in the center crossroad, amazing.
