Well played both teams! Congratulations Kiwis. Super sportsmanship from both sides.
Great game wasn't it? Probably the best final we have seen.
Best I have seen, noticeable that there has not been one word of bad behaviour from any of the players or the spectators through out the whole tournament. Pity our footballers ( soccer players) can't conduct themselves in a like manner.

Nigel Owens (best referee in the world - possibly for any sport) was at his best.

Truly fantastic game, Wallabies gave it all they had and then some but still came up short. The 2015 All Blacks might be the most complete Rugby team we've been privileged watch - until we see the 2019 version.
In fact a fantastic tournament, just a shame the red rose wilted.

Maybe that forward pass & neck tackle ? How come Nige missed the first and the entire crowd saw it

I've read that Rugby is a ruffians game played by gentlemen and Football is the other way round.

Been fantastic here at home for us too, tho it will be good to not have to set the clock for 4am 5am wake up calls.
Knighthoods on the cards for Ritchie McCaw, Dan Carter and Steve Hansen going by the the media here.
And yes, in the main, a very clean competition given the history of some teams and the physicality (is that a word?) involved.
Wonder who will be named Player of the RWC.

My vote would be the Kiwi who scored the final try in the final game. What a fantastic sprint and touch down. I regret I don't know his name. The All Blacks are an amazing team and worthy winners.

That would be Beauden Barrett. Yes a great try and a good end to the competition (for us :) ).
I think it will either be Pollock from Australia or Carter from NZ tho for the overall games played.
Like the 'quote' under your name Shakey. We named our motorhome Carpe Diem. Loosely translated means sieze the day or live for the day. Our motto too but hard to live up to when motivation is sometimes lacking. ;-)

Forgive me - I think you probably mean Michael Pocock :-). If you do then I agree.

You are forgiven :) and yes I did mean Pocock (I was typing on the ipad and got caught by its predictive words :( ).
But now your turn to forgive me, I think he might be a David :) not a Michael?
This is worth remembering:
Rugby is a ruffian's game played by gentlemen;
Soccer is supposed to be a gentleman's game but, shady, it is played by ruffians.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Rugby World Cup and I would like to congratulate Dan Carter for his strong resolve to get fit and get back into this beautiful game.
Congratulations to the NZ boys. With more sheep than people they can still turn out a world beating team.
Football---Pah!
