It seems that zoom in Windows 10 has a mind of its own. Is there a way to make it stay on what I set it to? When working on Photos it will decide it wants to zoom either up or down from where I have it set. I want it set at 125, it will go up to 150-170 or drop down to as low as 50. Then I have to reset it back to 125. It happens constantly. Windows 10 help section has not come up with a solution that I could find on their website.

Windows 10 doesn't zoom.

Are you using the Window's program Magnifier?
- Use Magnifier to see items on the screen
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/use-magnifier

Or are you using something else?

I'm not sure about Win10, but other versions of Windows, pressing ctrl and the plus will zoom the window.

Thanks everyone for your help. Sorry I wasn't clearer on where the Zoom thing is located. The search bar that used to be IE in Windows 8 is now Edge in Windows 10. The tools link is where you can set the screen to what you feels works best for your vision/screen. That's where I set it to 125 and that's where no matter what web based program like CC2015 I am using the thing keeps changing the zoom levels. I searched for the issue online and other people are having this same issue and it appears from their comments that Microsoft has not created a fix for this issue. Was hoping someone on UHH would know how to make it stay where I want it to. Control Panel Settings did not work.

Zuzanne,

Still not clear on the issue you are facing. I do know that any browser opened page can be zoomed in or out by using Ctrl and a + or -. When I open Photoshop CC I am not in a browser page because PS CC resides on my C drive. Perhaps your mouse settings are changing the size of the zoom?

Just trying to help.

You're not stuck with Edge. In the lower left hand of your screen, type in "Internet Explorer." Microsoft seems not to have put much thought into Edge - I unpinned it from the task bar.

I can not give you a solution zuzanne, only sympathy. I have not converted yet. When I try 10 it will be on a backup disk.

Having been with computers since blow cards and 9 pin printers I have seen many improvements... but after a point the programs started thinking for the person. My big gripe came with Excel and graphing!! Prior editions (2003) required you tell it what to do... 2007 in addition to ribbon menu.. auto graphed.. with no clue to correct presentation.

Operating systems progressed including the great wonders of Windows ME and Windows Vista.. Now as if forgiveness for ME and Vista we get Windows 10 for free and no charge for the torment of learning a new system and coming up with work-arounds. At times I am tempted to tie a ribbon-menu around my neck and exit hoping I will reboot into a better reality incarnation. "aaagah" as Charley Brown would say.

When I am using my Chrome browser on my laptop, with my fingers on the keyboard, sometimes my left hand hovers too close to the touchpad, and the screen zooms. I then get a little icon on the url window, at the right side, where I can click and make the screen return to normal.
