That is a beautiful action shot of the Hummer. It really shows how the bird really works in nature.

Wonderful point of view Paul!

Nice action. Well taken. 👍
Great action and angle in this photo, Psergel. Would you mind sharing what "fussing around" you did with your 7DII and Tamron 150-600 that resulted in this great capture? Thanks.

fantastic shot as previously mentioned but why couldn't you have used a canon t4i or other with the tamron lens to get such a shot? Thanks!
I tried doing this with my 6D which has a better sensor and.....the combination of camera and user was not fast enough to focus on these hummers before they moved on to another flower.
The 7DIIs greatest claim to fame is it's AF system and it is remakable.

First of all.....thank you
As to the fussing.
I find it difficult to get the AF micro adjustment right at 600mm.
I ended up with more correction on this lens at 600 than with any of my other lenses or the same lens on my 6D.
So....I did a lot of fussing around to get it right.
Also....I'm just beginning to get a handle on the AF on this camera......it's amazing but you need to learn how to use the various focus point patterns.
I was trying to use too many and always got focused on the bush instead of the birds.
Those are the things I was fussing around with.
