Always enjoy hummingbirds...
Thank you for the thumbs-up gemlenz.
I did change lens and setting back and forth because of the change in brightness do to the passing clouds. Thanks for the kind comment.
Glad you enjoyed then Lenf. Sometimes the subject is more relevant than
all the rules.
Good shots. I have recently been attempting to get some shots of a humming bird that seems to love our hanging plant just outside our sliders. It has taught me how difficult it is to do. They are fast little guys. One likes to hover in front of the window looking at me whenever I do not have my camera at the ready. As soon as I do he is gone like a shot.
Beautiful action shots of these beautiful little birds, ARI!
Thanks for viewing Matt. They are clever and a real challenge. The male that comes here goes on the opposite of the feeder and very seldom will he hover. I taped that side up so he will go to the ones in my view. But like yours, the moment there is any motion he is off. The settings i am finding best are f 8 for more depth of field to try and keep them in focus
when they are moving around and a least 2000 shutter. Dealing with with the right light in those settings is hard to do. Using a flash work pretty good.
Thanks Sue and yes they are beautiful but they also have a temper.
