Google "Changing of the Guard" for Ottowa.

Also interested. Visiting Lake George in October.

Already know about Crown Point and Ticonderoga and will visit them again.

Definitely the CN Tower in Toronto. Right next to the baseball stadium where the Blue Jays play. Great views of course. It is interesting to look "down" on the top of the Bank of Montreal Building... close to a 100 stories up and you can go higher. I am guessing the 6+ inch thick glass floor window is still available from way up there to step on and take a photo of your feet and the scene way below.

And, of course, you will want to eat a meal from the slowly revolving Skylon Tower restaurant overlooking the falls. While in the Niagara Falls area don't miss the Butterfly Conservatory along Niagara Drive I think it is called. This huge glass building has a myriad of worldwide butterflies worth seeing and photographing. Some may land on you or others which make for some interesting photos.

If you can be sure to take a tour in the House of Parliament in Ottawa. In addition to the history and typical beauty of the building, the wooden decor is astounding IMHO.

I definitely concur with this as a "must see" when in Niagara.

Having a meal at the revolving restaurant at the CN Tower - is the best way to see the full panoramic view of the city and includes access to the observation level as well.
Casa Loma is a real life castle in the middle of Toronto that is well worth a visit.
The Toronto Zoo has a pair of Giant Pandas visiting from China - obviously something that is not readily available to see in most cities.
Obviously the falls themselves in Niagara are fantastic.
In Ottawa - if you visit the Parliament buildings at I believe they run a sound and light show every night - we quite enjoyed it when we were there.
The war museum in Ottawa is quite well done - a bit of a somber visit but very interesting to see - particularly Memorial Hall.

Depending on how you go, Watkins Glen Gorge is a must see.
My recommended visit to Niagara Falls begins on the Niagara River (American side) just above the falls, walks along the river to Goat Island, and then to the overlooks.
Do the hurricane walk below the falls, also.
Then take the Rainbow Bridge to the Canadian side.

If you've got a day in Ottawa to spend, definitely go to the War Museum. Extremely well done covering everything from the Indian wars, the war of 1812 right up to modern times. Lots of machinery, equipment and vehicles. Excellent.
Definitely take the tour of the Parliament buildings and just wander around that part of the city, theres an amazing set of liftlocks right beside Parliament hill. Great nightview from across the river at the Museum of Civilization.
(I lived in Toronto too long to want to give any adise as what to do there. Don't want to ruffle any feathers)

Sorry, I don't know the species for sure, but I suspect it is.

If you stay stateside on your way to Ottawa, then most definitely hit the Thousand Islands area. On your way from Canada to Lake George, I am sure you can side trip through some of the Adirondack Mountains. Safe travels! ~Aimer

On the Canadian side, you can also go behind the Falls.

At night, there is a light show from the Canadian side illuminating both Falls.

I cannot speak to Lake George but if you are near the Finger Lakes on your journey, the gorges and water falls in the area are fantastic. Toronto, my hometown has many places for photography. It depends upon your interests. Places to see are The Beach - both the shops along Queen Street and the waterfront. The Scarborough Bluffs, the Distillery District for turn of the century architecture, an amazing array of public art and statuary throughout the city, Harbourfront, and the ethnic areas of the city; Italian (College Street, St Clair Ave), Greektown (BloorcDanforth), the Kensington Market which was first Jewish, them Portuguese and now turning to Spanish certainly in its residents. Ottawa has, along with historic and modern government buildings beautiful parks. Hull Quebec is across the river. There is excellent white water river rafting on the Ottawa river - good for an activity or for photography. Sorry for the length but the photo opportunities are endless in the places that you are going to be visiting. Wishing you good travels.
