AP Loc: Massachusetts

Polo is a sport that is not played as much as other sports in the USA, but is the oldest! This photo was made in the Myopia Hunt Club Hamilton, MA - August 1982. Myopia in Hamilton, is just over 9mi from my house.

4-US Open were played in Myopia: 1898, 1901, 1905, 1908. This photo was made on my Nikon F3 with Nikkor 600mm f5.6 on Kodachrome 64 ASA copied with my digital camera and downloaded on to my MAC. AP

Seriously over exposed, probably when you made the digital copy. I'll bet the original isn't blown out.

Wall-E, the photo is not at all seriously over exposed. If it were, there would be no detail at all in the photo. The rider with the light colored jersey shows its brightness.

If the photograph were way over exposed, there would be no detail at all in the shadows. Study the photograph.

Here's a denser image. If your on assignment for a SPORTS Magazine photographing a pro baseball game. Your assigned to a certain player their doing a story on. When that player is up at bat, you have to purposely open or more so you can see the batter's face, especially a black player.

I was a freelance SPORTS photographer fifteen years. This polo photo was shot with a Nikon F3 and a NIKKOR 600mm f5.6 manual focus lens. A very big difference between auto focus digital cameras.

Back in the 70s film days, there were many photographers that wanted to photograph SPORTS but never made it. Know why ? Most of their photo were not sharp enough in focus. And, the lenses they used were to short. HOW'S THAT! AP
