Adding memory to iMac

I am considering a new 27" iMac, but I have seen conflicting information about adding RAM. I had read that RAM could easily be added to any of the 27" models, but yesterday when I stopped in at Simply Mac, the sales person told me I could add RAM to the 2014 model, but Apple would have to do it for the 3.3 Ghz 2015 model. Has anyone added RAM to the latest 27" iMac?

If you check the back of the 27" iMac model you are looking at you should find a door in the center - memory goes in that door.

This seems to show that the mid 2015 iMac can be easily upgraded the same as the 2014 model.

Also, look at the specs posted on Apple's site - under memory it says USER upgradeable.

That's what I thought too, but this sales guy, who said they were Apple trained, said this model was like the 21" and was not user accessible.
Thanks

I would have to tell him, prove it.... flip the unit around and ask him what the door was for :)

Dngallagher is correct. The RAM is user upgradeable.

Is this the computer equivalent of the 'used car salesman.'

Or someone that was asleep during training perhaps?
