I love the photos and the fungus seems to pop up in many areas near our home

Went out to the state wildlife area saturday, and was greeted with this mushroom about 10 feet from my car. Not sure what kind it is, but the color, texture, and shadow caught my eye.

Tilde this is getting there the under the room shot
has a lot of potential in post production. Try Picass,
it's free and fun too. There's a lot to play with here.

Do you mean this one?
First is original.
Second is tweaked just now with Lightroom3 which I didn't have when I did the original, I was just lazy about doing it before posting here. Thought it would work as it was *blush*
Did tweaking help?
Thank you for the compliment! :)
Original

Big improvment but what i sujjest is to go wild wtih
saturation and look poster-like, cuz back in the 70's
i had a lot of experience with rooms.
How about a "Lovely Lichen"?

LOL
AHHHHH! Gotcha!
*blush*
Okay... will play in Picasa and be back... "Groooovy baby!"
Awesome photos everyone. Here's a different perspective of the original I posted.
I love mushroom shots. Here's mine on film. Some dark areas, but I still like it. Not as clear as my digital would be, but I like the colors. I scanned a photo of my image and reduced the size, so it looses a bit in conversion.

Those are some GREAT mushroom photos! Here in the desert we don't have much opportunity to see and photograph fungi. In particularly wet seasons, rare indeed, we do have a rush of mushrooms around the eucalyptus trees in the parks, nearly all Amanitas. Mostly Amanita Phalloides (Death Cap), some Amanita Virosa (Destroying Angel). We have to be especially careful not to let the grandchildren play with the pretty "toadstools" for they are as deadly as they are beautiful. I wish we had some like in the lovely photos here.
