Here's the scenario. You are to be dropped off on an uninhabited island off the coast of British Columbia. Other than the clothes on your back - shoes, socks, pants, underwear and a long-sleeve shirt, you are allowed to take with you only FIVE items. No firearms are allowed. A bow and 4 arrows count as ONE item. One fish hook counts as ONE item. Any rope/twine/cordage is limited to a 50' spool.
What five items would you take with you?

I'd pick four out of five, and one yacht.

A kayak and a paddle. Matches. A tent. A cast net.

Now here's a guy who knows how to pack.
Rich
I would only need two items. A kayak and a paddle to get back home.
rain tarp, bowie knife, fire-starter kit (matches are not going to last long), tin cup and blanket. I can make everything I need to survive with these things including fish hooks, line, and nets. And the Bowie can be lashed to a long stick to make a great spear for hunting and protection. If I could take just one more thing, I think I'd like to pack a change of underwear...just in case.
