I got my first scammer and thought I would just let you all know
Judy robert contacted me by PM to tell me her sob story
and about the millions her dad dead left her. And you know the story...Well I hope you know its a scam story.
Anyone else get this..

You guys need to go visit this site - it's populated by devious, yet hilarious 'scam-baiters' who respond to the semi-literate scam artists with other come-ons and requests to do silly stuff that the scammers, not knowing any better, do. They send back pictures of themselves holding signs (in English) that, well, don't paint them in very good light sometimes. The site has pictures, email-correspondence threads, a forum for posting experiences, and much more. It's a hoot. Check out the "letters archive" and the "hall of shame".

There are several scam-baiting sites out there, all basically follow the same idea - trick the idiot scammers by using their greed and ignorance against them. Some of the lengths the scammers go to is hilarious. One scam-fighter got a goofball to recite and record all 36 chapters of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe" on the pretense of paying him for an audio book. The scammer even paid about $1800 out of his own pocket for recording equipment, which is the holy grail of the scam-baiters - get them to spend money (or better yet, borrow it from other crooks) with the idea that they'll be repaid.

Well I have to feel bad for you all then because I didn't even get the scam that was going around on April Fool's day and it seemed like pretty much everyone else got that one. Not that it would bother me because I wouldn't be responding and I would send it on to Admin and let them take care of it. This scammer is sort of like that spammer we had a couple of months ago that kept starting threads to try and get us to by Polo clothing only now it is coming in through our PM system.
