Get a free excel type spreadsheet at openoffice.org. Works just like excel and even saves files in the .xls format. It's free and just as good as excel. It is called open office Calc. I also use their open office Writer which is the same as Microsoft Word. When Microsoft introduced banner ads on their free version of MS Office with Win 7, I switched to Open Office.
