I think it would be cool if Adobe put the dehaze tool as a brush option, and gradient tool too.
You can always use it in Ps on a second layer and use whatever masking you can imagine :-)

I've composed a WB action which does a wonderful job of removing haze, along with correctly rendering colours.

That new tool is pretty cool, but it needs to be used sparingly. On one image I was playing with, I actually added a little "haze".
I guess if it was a brush tool, you could haze the background and not the subject.
Someone posted this on UHH a few months ago and I've used it successfully on a few occasions. It's not a brush option but it works on haze.
In PSE 11 (and other versions I'm sure)
Select UNSHARP MASK
Adjust the AMOUNT at 36%
Adjust the RADIUS at 86%
Adjust THRESHHOLD at level 20. The strongest effect is at level 0. Adjust to your requirements by moving the slider to the level that is appropriate for you.
Depending on the photo, you may also want to play with AMOUNT and RADIUS to suit your preference.
Tried it in PS CC. Had to tweek the adjustments a lot to have any significant effect, but it does work..thx...
