Longji (Dragon's Back) was a great photography opportunity.
Construction of the terraces began in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), and continued until the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) when construction was completed.
Conditions were not ideal with mostly cloudy skies. Last few pictures of the water buffalo and farmer was taken at 200mm using my camera bag as improvised tripod. Was a bit stressed for time so had to pick my subjects and locations with time constraint.
Climb....walk....climb....walk....climb.....walk...."are we at the top yet?"
Beautiful country.... great shots!!!!

Interesting set. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a beautiful place.
Amazing construction very well captured. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice series...the woman in the last photo...is she in a costume for a special event? Very pretty!
These are nice Paul. Number 5 is my favorite. The composition and the pattern of the terraces in that one are very good!!
Interesting sites,Paul. I have always thought how ingenious the Chinese were to terrace the hills to be able to grow food in a difficult landscape. The patterns of the terraced hill sides are wonderful, would make interesting abstract images.
The girl was posing with an outfit you can wear and get your picture taken with. I just happened to be walking by and snapped off a shot.
Wonderful pictures and thanks for sharing.
