Both versions are supposed to get ACR updates as new camera models arrive. Lightroom 6 will become 6.1, 6.2, etc. There have been hints that Lightroom CC might get features or tools that Lightroom 6 would not. Today is the day it happened.
Among todays release of changes for a lot of apps in the CC system, Lightroom gets a Haze tool. Lightroom 6 does not.
You can see a demo of the Haze tool if you search YouTube for:
SNEAK PEEK of Lightroom CC "Dehaze"
( I can't put in a link because UHH would move it to "Links and Resources" )
FWIW, I resisted the CC. I had my boots dug in. I was happy with a combination of Lightroom, Photoshop Elements, Premier Elements and a collection of plugins. When Lightroom 6 came out, I jumped off the cliff and signed up for the $10 per month CC plan. A big motivator was the access to the "real" Photoshop. I'm in the middle of an online class and am thrilled with some of the things I can do in Photoshop that I couldn't do in Elements. I've become a CC fanboy!

The differences between Lr 6 and Lr CC don't surprise me, watching Adobe's policies. Not that I use either (yet). I am happy with Ps CS6 and I'm not ready to commit to $10/Mo yet for Ps CC. I got my Ps CS6 on a disk at the student rate. I'm a photographer, not a graphic designer so I don't use but a fraction of Ps, but still well beyond Lr or PSE abilities.

I went to lunch with my wife yesterday in a neighborhood restaurant. Her salad cost $10. So did mine. I was thinking I could pay for next month's Adobe bill by leaving her behind.
Adobe's CC program and policies are not painful to me. I see them as a pleasant gift that contains more great tools and power than I've ever had. With the CC they've found a cost effective way to deliver those tools to millions. A single 36 shot roll of film, with developing and cheap prints costs more than a month with Adobe!

I wouldn't classify myself as a fanboy (or fangirl if there is such a term), but I'm a pragmatist, and I know I get a lot more than $10 worth of fun out of this stuff every month. If the going gets tough, I will definitely cut down on the cable channels or change coffee brands before I give up CC.

You are another example of a person that hated the notion of "renting" (for lack of a better term) software, but tried it and has "seen the lgiht."
I have yet to hear of someone who hasn't had a similar experience. Enjoy your new software!

I enjoy Adobe CC. They also updated InDesign and Illustrator and a few others.

Yep. LR and Photoshop for 120/yr, exceptional value if you know or else spend the time to learn Photoshop. Because Photoshop is the big Kunaha of image editing programs.

If you can get her to cut out 2 or 3 coffees a month, you could also get her to pay for your salad.

She hates Starbucks and makes her own coffee, so that won't work.

Well, that might come back to haunt you. My husband says your wife might go out and buy a new dress

She did that last week. She bought one, complete with matching shoes for our 15 year old granddaughters first dance.
