I also have a D7100 -- and your photos show that it is more than a great camera to take great photos. I now have a new goal, to try to take photos as good as yours.

With that said, the D7100 is a fantastic camera. Fun to use, great image quality, and easy to set and change settings.

Thanks for the fantastic comment, a great camera & 60 years of trial error and believe me plenty of errors.

Best answer I can give is that when I place photos taken with my 7100 next to photos taken with my full frame 750 it's virtually impossible to tell which camera they were taken with. Plus the layout of the controls, the weather resistant body, the lcd size & resolution........it is pretty much a professional quality camera with a cropped sensor. I won't be getting rid of mine any time soon.

It has a very good sensor for a crop body.

Thanks M.D. that's a hard choice , I have a lot I am quite fond of , right now I will have to say my newest 80-400mm. I use it most of the time.

Using it with wonderful results. :) I love my D7000. I haven't researched the differences/improvements made to D7100. I will have to check that out.

Yeah. It is just an very excellent camera with a lot of quality plus features. I suggest that you read Ken Rockwell's review. http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d7100.htm . There are many others who draw similar conclusions, but he hits the main points.

I agree my D7100 fits in with my 810 quite well. I would not part with either one. The D7100 is the one I take to work with me every day.

avemal,

It is weather sealed, has dual card slots, good in low light, 24 megapixels, good sensor, fits my hands, quality build and some that I left out.
A picture is worth a thousand words. See my Flickr page link below. And yes, I shoot with a D7100.

Have had D50, D200, now have D3, D7100, & D810 - I love the size, weight and functionally of the D7100. I prefer to use it over all the others for shooting everything except sports - Thats what a D3 or D4 are for
