Lived here in "Almost Heaven West Virginia" my entire life except 4 years in the Air Force ( almost 80 years ) and have found no reason to leave ! Going to Bridge day and find license plates from all over USA and Canada ! For those who don't know about our BRIDGE DAY, it is an event held in October every year and folks come from all over the world to jump from the bridge. They close one lane of the Bridge and allow folks to walk on the bridge to view the jumping, etc. I attended once, in 2012, but am not a jumper(and like you not planning to either, nor had the urge in my 83 yrs.) They also Rappell from the Bridge, have Bridge Walks(under the super structure) and other events. Here's a couple links that tells it all...

Thanks for the Information... I have been in your state several times on my Motorcycles, have crossed the Bridge, etc.... A Bluegrass Group "Dry Branch Fire Squad" has a Monologue where Ron Thomlenson (I think that's how you spell it) talks about the New River and how the surrounding countryside uses it to name about everything.....
