All of these photos are considered "close-ups" (less than 1:1 magnification), except for #6 (life-size).
Exif image #6:
Camera Model: NIKON D5100
Lens: AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED
Image Date: 2015-06-08
Focal Length: 105mm
Aperture: ƒ/5.6
Exposure Time: 0.017 s (1/60-sec)
ISO equiv: 100
Exposure Bias: none
Metering Mode: Center Weight
Exposure: shutter priority (semi-auto)
White Balance: Manual
Light Source: Fine Weather
Flash Fired: No

You will learn that hand-holding at 1/60-sec rarely produces sharp captures. This is why the vast majority of us use speedlight illumination, allowing 1/200-sec at f/16 exposures.

Thanks Douglass, I was hoping someone would give me some hints. This lens says 1:1 at 12 inches, but it focuses past that point every time unless I go to manual, than I can move in to about 6". also, what is the 00-5m setting for

12-inches is the Minimum Focusing Distance measures from sensor plane to subject.
6.2-inches is the Minimum Working Distance measured from lens front element to subject.
Macro-photographers are most concerned with Working Distance. Only at MWD can your camera capture 1:1 mag (life-size).

I own a Nikkor 105G lens, and I do not understand your question about "00-5m setting".

That is a focus limiter switch (for autofocus mode). Since macro lenses have such a large focus travel distance, they can sometimes take longer to focus, so limiting the focusing range can speed this up. My macro lens has 3 settings, close, far, and full. So you can get faster focus in whatever subject you are shooting.

In the "(infinity) to 0.5m" setting, this lens Auto-Focuses just like a standard 105-mm short telephoto lens: MFD = 19.5-inches.
In the "Full" setting, this lens' Auto-Focus MFD = 12-inches, which allows 1:1 magnification (life-size).

To practice viewing & capturing true macro, set your lens to "Full" and "Manual" focus, turning the collar to MFD.
Now move the camera/lens towards & away from subject, until you see subject in focus (about 6.2-inches WD). THAT is 1:1 magnification life-size, true macro.
