This is a 1:1 Macro shot of a flower found in my front yard that looks like something from another world. I love the colors but it looks like it's getting ready to eat something.

Henbit - Lamium amplexicaule - from the Mint family. Adventive and opportunistic in lawns and other disturbed and degraded landscapes, it is a native of Eurasia.

The blossoms are tiny. You captured it well. Amazing color on those, eh?

Thank you for the information I can't pronounce it but I'll work at it. It is an amazing flower. I had know idea of what it really looked like until I got it under my Tamron 180 mm macro lens.
