The owner of the interior posted previously. Bad sky day.

Colour or BW?

Any suggestions for the reshoot? This one's not going anywhere soon I hope.

The low perspective is good; could be improved by moving a bit to the right to capture more of the side in accentuated perspective.

With machinery this rusted I prefer color. To my eye B&W works best for shiny metal! (Personal opinion)

I agree with Dave, Rusty needs color and a little more of the side of the truck would improve the image IMHO.

Ditto John. Was a bit rushed that morning so had the brain in "sketchpad" mode. took this one, one dead on front and a few detail shots, going back.

My sorta subject with bracketing and just a touch of HDR.
Perfect material for it. All those rusty edges brought to life. Where is this thing ol' Billy is on his way!!!!
Mmmmm Change of plan Ill come when the snow has gone. Do not do cold weather.

Snow's gone now Billy, bring your gear and show me some of those HDR moves. Would make the rusty surface come alive. Beers on me.

Hope for my sake this doesn't get towed away for parts or restoration before I get a chance to shoot more.

I like the b&w very much. For some reason the other one loses the feeling of the cold winter day. I like the tight composition with just enough grass to indicate that it's parked out in a field .. left behind .. forgotten. I wish the detail from the weathering was more pronounced.

Thanks for the comments Nightski. I prefer BW myself and in truth the snow part was converted in the colour version to get rid of too much blue. The truck has weathered to a rusted bare metal with not quite enough texture to work with at least in this light and my limited pp skills. Going back in different light and with one of my better film gobblers for some real BW.

please don't take this as argumentative but abandonment to me would be a wide shot of this old two ton surrounded by acres of flat bald prairie, which it is.

Color definitely, I like the snow effect, makes it look more lonely.

Billy need to see the snow and enjoy the cool weather.
