So, where did the silly-a$$ed idea that upper case (capital letters) is shouting? When I was in the USAF and handled and created highly classified documents. They were required to be ALL UPPER CASE. If it was good enough for Uncle Sam, baby, that is good enough for me. And by the way, THANK A VET FOR YOUR FREEDOMS (yes, plural)!

Rockwell.. Keeps it simple and actually talks about photography and what's important. Steered me in the right direction.
It was so much easier back in the Film / Ansel Adams (as photography author) days. If you wanted to get confused, you could read Minor White. And they had all those Amphoto, HP Books, Petersen, and Kodak books. Few nut jobs amongst them.

Silly question. But the answer is none of them. Best to get answers from knowledgeable veterans of the industry. There are plenty of those around and you can get a straight and accurate story from them.

I agree. I was not criticizing him. He is who he is.
My point is general that there ARE too many errors in too many posts. I, too, am a smartphone user. I also generally try to edit my work.
Autocorrect is so bad, it has its own web site. Go to:

for a million great laughs!
Yes, autocorrect is bad. If you care about grammar and spelling and are willing to spend a little money, WhiteSmoke is easy to use.

The viewer/reader wins - various ideas, sometimes conflicting, but all products have pros and cons. Some reviewers mention some points, and some mention others. Consulting many sources makes for an informed consumer.
Ken seems to go to extremes - no tripod, no raw. He'll love a camera one day and hate it the next. I read his column for entertainment, although he does have lots of good advice. Just keep an open mind.
Snapchick seems torn between being a "babe" and being an expert on photography. I don't visit very often.
Fro does actually know photo, but I find him hard to take. I think he would increase his following if he changed his appearance and his delivery style. Good info but hard to watch.
There are so many good, serious reviewers out there.
EDIT: As for who wins, that would depend on the contest. For Ken, it would be a written test. Snapchick would favor bikini mud wrestling, and Fro would probably want a rap competition. :D

Jerry your overview is accurate. Slightly off your subject though. When I grow up (retire shortly) I want to be just like you. The guy who spends his days looking up things for everyone else and just having a good time. Keep up the good work Jerry and continue enjoying yourself for many years to come.

Watch out for the grammar police! Posts are not generally well thought out and edited compositions but usually a quickly thought out response, typed and sent even more quickly. As a result we all occasionally misspell or use incorrect grammar. There is no reason for anyone to mention it unless it causes the meaning of the post to be completely lost. Having said that, I've seen posts from a few folks here that were uncapitalized run on sentences with atrocious spelling, punctuation and grammar, and were difficult or impossible to understsnd. You are certainly not one of them.

I've seen that, too. Sure sign of not caring. Like going to church in your underwear. Who cares; I'm here.
Ken wrote you don't need a fancy camera, but that's what he has, with all the photographer's out there ,you better have good camera and glass to make money.Reason people are happy with I Phone photo's,there's so many in photography it's not funny.the world is changing every min.
Thom Hogan gives very in depth reviews and is not biased.
I had check them all. I think the best advice here, had been to keep the mind open. At the end, they are all trying to inform. Will Crocket is an excellent choice if you are interested in the micro fourth third (which I am so, I had been following). He is clear, easy going, informative, professional and respectful... Peace to you all... jro
Rockwell's a shill. Fro's mediocre. Don't know the chick.
