A mommy and daughter shots. I love these special moments when you capture a photo with a mother with her baby. I'm in the middle of learning the best way to convert my photos to b/w. Any helpful CC is always apriciated.

You've got the tone!! Excellent b&w!! You can do in-camera adjustments in your settings (user manual); look for "B&W" or "Monochrome" - follow some of the links below from the Hog. Ton of info available.

If you use lightroom the nik silver effects is a very good program to convert with. These look nice. I especially love the first one.

Nik silver effects for Lightroom? I thought it was only for photoshop.

Nope..I have it for lightroom. I only started using photoshop quite recently and thanks for reminding me...I can put it into photoshop too! lol
