Going back to your original topic, there is an Ethol technical paper (of sorts) which has a brief section devoted to LPD. The discussion is general, a bit superficial even, but it does give the manufacturer’s recommended dilutions for both the powdered and liquid forms. This probably doesn’t give you any more info than you can get off the can already :) but I thought I’d point it out if you haven’t come across it before.

Yes - And Thank You - I have read it and it was a very simple and not really informative.
I was looking for more personal dilutions that other Real Photographers (not just some chemistry guy) that have practical applications of the REAL.

Thank you again for the in-put.

UP-DATE = For the LPD developer dilution of powder.....

I mixed, as per weight, to distilled water = After weighing the total can of powder (without the can - in a plastic "zip-lock" bag). The weight of that powder was 16 oz. ( so 1/4 of that would be 4 oz to One Quart of water) == For One Quart of "stock developer" i.e.= One to One (1:1).... For development of photo-paper I did a 1:4 of the stock for darkroom work. And after dumped it after use.
Seems to work very well.... Will post in a few days the results of the Photographic Prints.

Again.....

Thank You ALL for the complements and the help.

James..

This question is for ANY of the chemical photographers who are still active with chemical paper developing.

What - in your experiments and or printing in B&W - is the best dilution for LPD brand POWDER developer?

I can read the can with the instructions that read to mix for One Gallon ... I wish to know What is the best dilution that has worked for you in your printing. I have used the liquid concentrate - however - as I do not do chemical developing on a regular basis = I got the POWDER to try to save a little money and use what I need each time I do develop.
This question is for ANY of the chemical photograp... (show quote)

Does anyone have a D.I.Y. formula for LPD Developer?
How do its action and its results compare with a standard...say...D-76?

D76 is a film developer. Do you mean Dektol?
