Need recommendation for camera strap for my Canon SX50. Carrying around neck gets uncomfortable after a while especially when walking a lot sightseeing. strap that have is inconvenient carrying at my side as have to remove to shoot.
Take a look at the "Leash" from Peak Design - $34.95. Very safe and secure. Can be worn 3+ different ways. I use it on p&s cameras from Nikon and Fuji. Not the cheapest, but do you want to trust your camera and images to a cheap strap? Good value.

If I need a strap, upstrap is the only product I'd use, and do use.

Check out the Cotton Carrier site. They have several straps, etc. and other ways to carry cameras.

http://peakdesign.comAbsolutely!
I am amazed at how few here seem to even know this company and it's products. They are light years ahead of Black Rapid, Op-Tech, and every other company in the field. I can say that qualifiedly - because I have owned all of the others mentioned...and I LOVE all of the products from Peak Design.
Their hand step is the most comfortable of all of them I have owned/used. The leash is awesome. And the Capture is an un-matched device for waist carry. It does not allow the camera to swing and bob around. And it does so - using an arcs-swiss plate - so you can remove it - and plop it onto a tripod - without un-screwing and re-attaching anything :thumb up:
Just look them up:

Optech here....
Using on my Olympus PEN E-PM2 and used them on my E series DSLR Olympus, and others.
Had one on my Nikon D90 and My Canon 5D Full Frame.
Comfort, ease of disconnect and connect, safe (but make sure you connect the connectors completely... just a bit of an extra push)

Technically the canon SX50 is not a point and shoot. it is a bridge camera. Terminology is important.
