Looking at this bracket to keep the flash centered above the lens when in both landscape and portrait modes. Any one use this or have thoughts?

Thanks,

If it's built anything like the Digital PRO-E model I have from them, it's very well made.
You will need a cord to connect your flash.
I had the one for my Nikon shortened so it wouldn't flop around.
I think the one you are looking at is the same model a friend of mine has.
It's less bulky than mine as it folds up.

If you shoot with battery grip (which I always do when shooting in portrait orientation), then it doesn't get as high as I like. But it is okay.

On the other hand, if you switch between landscape and portrait, then rotating the camera is a bit slow. You can get the S version for half the price and put a quick release lever Arca base plate on it.

I generally prefer using a couple of L brackets, an Arca quick release base plate, and a Velbon QRA-3 quick release plate for the flash. With an L-bracket on the camera, I can switch from portrait to landscape pretty quickly. I can also quickly take the flash off or put it back on the bracket if I want to change flash position. And I can adjust flash height.

Custom Brackets are excellent. I would seriously suggest checking out their RF-PRO model. Its more expensive, but WELL, WELL worth it. I can almost guarantee you will never want for any other type. I would recommend it to anyone, anytime. Check it out and you can contact me anytime if you have any questions about how I use it.

Take a look at this and/or other Stroboframes:

don't waist your money on this bracket go with custom bracket QRS-35-EVi have three of them there great you can go to horizon to vertical and the flash is always in the center and you get no shadows I use them when doing weddings.
