It looks like Tim Cook is trying to thaw the cold relationship between Apple and Samsung. When two electronics giants team-up, that can be good for everyone.

If you are an optimist and things go right, no big deal, you expected it. If things go wrong you get depressed.

If you are a pessimist and things go wrong, no big deal, you expected it.
If things go right you get a pleasant surprise and feel great.

More reward for being a pessimist.

I tend to see the dark side of every situation, but this collaboration might produce something good. They worked together till Steve Jobs stirred things up.

Actually the chance of it doing anything for me is close to zero.
The only thing I had with 'i' infront of it was iTunes and I replaced that with Media Monkey.

I still don't get how Japan lost it's lead to South korea. If only these two could put away their differences (like Apple & Samsung) they could really put up a challenge to China, and that would be better for everyone. I'm really impressed by what S Korea has done.

google "media monkey vs itunes" you will get a lot of sites. But I did it after Leo Laporte (The Tech Guy on radio) recommended it and itunes messed up my music library one time too many by splitting albums up etc. after an upgrade.
