Maybe a Howitzer!
Over the years-in 35mm, Medium Format, and early digital (3MP), I have used: Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Sony, Fuji, Mamiya, Sanyo, Pentax, Holga, and Kodak. Now, in DSLR I use a Nikon D3300. If I upgrade from that it will to some variant of what is now The Nikon D810. Canon, and Nikon, are the only ones which have the lens selection I want, and I do not like the control placement on modern Canons.

It's not a camera, it a phone! If your blender or washing machine or coffee maker could take pictures would you call it a camera?
Started with Nikon D60 then got Nikon D5100 new. then got a refurbished Nikon D5100 as second body and will be purchasing Nikon D7200 on the 4th.
S/O has 4 Pentax cameras.

Right! I use Hulu and TuneIn on my phone, But that does not mean that iit's my TV or Stereo. I will say that the "best" camera is the one you have, And 'phone cams have come a long way. However, a cheap P&S will usually beat the best 'phone cam. IMHI any phone cam is the modern equivalent to the old "Box" ccameras at Best and "disposables" at worst!

Simple is not so simple to some people. Here goes:
Canon (14) - Leica (1) - Nikon (4) - Sony (6) - Sony and
Canon bridge (2) - All over the course of 50 years.
Currently using Sony (A-57 and A6000) for general and
Canon for Macro.
All are good - depends on the time, $ , and Photo needs.

I currently use 2 Nikon DSLRs, sold the third and preparing to make it 3 again.
My household has at present....
3 Nikon DSLRs (another coming)
1 Canon bridge
2 Canon P&S
1 Olympus water proof P&S
