Just don't get them too close. They act like magnets and either attract or repel. You never know which until it's too late.

I won't try to add to the already posted fun puns but do you mind if I ask seriously why you decided to purchase the Pentax?

A fair question. I have a Canon that has a burst rate of 3.7 fps and fastest shutter of 1/4000. I found a Pentax with 6 fps and 1/6000. I thought that I would spend a small amount of $ to see if I liked the Pentax instead of getting a more expensive Canon. If I am right, I will go into deeper water. If I am wrong, I have grandchildren that will love to have a DSLR.

Interesting situation. Two cameras, one of which can capture 6/6000 (0.10%) of the action in any given second and one that can capture 3.7/4000 (0.09%) of the action in any given second. Sometimes we can't see the forest because all the trees are in the way. :)

I too am bi. I will never buy my 600mm telephoto for my Nikons but this week Target placed their Fuji S8650 on clearance for $116.98. And I purchased it for photographing birds (more specifically eagles in trees). I probably can't enlarge to 11x14, but I know I'll be happy with it. I love being bi.

well, bye, bye!

Wow all the confessions...... well I too have to confess. My Nikons are #1 of course, however I did get a Canon to play with and I can't let it go. I have Sony P&S that is ok. Still haven't found the perfect P&S and had several. I like the Nikons for my outdoor work and the Canon inside for portrait stuff. I do keep them separated so the Nikons don't try and attack the intruders.
Had a Pentax film camera that I loved.... took lovely shots, until someone broke in our home years ago and stole it with many other things. Broke my heart.

Sheesh! Sounds like photography is more than hobby, more of a lifestyle! :D

(That's called an Olympus but don't mention it around the Cannon nuts, they get a bit touchy. By touchy I mean they will hit you)

I'm thoroughly enjoying this forum---all the witty remarks mixed with experience & knowledge. I'm still in "auto" on my new Nikon P600 & finding the instruction manual much lacking. Wish I could find a tutorial just for this camera. Like my computer, it does strange things----maybe because I'm new to digital &/or a slow learner, reluctant to leave film & my Nikon FE.

Mary....Manuals are notoriously sparse. I've been able to locate one book that will go into more detail on your camera. It's going to read like a technical book...so don't be disappointed, but it will contain much more detail in every area than the manual. I suggest the paper version.

I have heard of bisexual. I have heard of bipolar. Now that I have just purchased a Pentax, I guess that I am now biphotographic. Can I put the Pentax in the same room as the Canon?

Not without apologizing to the PENTAX first...RJM

That would be the holographic camera the doctor on Star Trek Voyager used! With that camera, you project it in the holodeck and then you can walk around and interact with the image. I'm sure we are just a few years away from this!
