And just to put you straight on your own history: You gained your independence through a battle between the French and the British. It was the communist French that your country that you have to thank for that, and ever since your economy has been based on slavery. That's why 8% of your population is in prison working as slaves.

If this statement were not so asinine it would be funny.

I believe you.

Here's some interesting trivia from the GoogleGod.....

In 1985, The Guinness Book of World Records accepted Marilyn vos Savant's IQ score of 190, and crowned her the woman with the highest IQ for five consecutive years -- she has tested as high as 228 on various IQ tests.
Stephen W. Hawking is alleged to have an IQ of 160.
Benjamin Netanyahu is alleged to have an IQ of 180.
Bobby Fischer was alleged to have an IQ of 180.
James Woods is alleged to have an IQ of 180.
Terrence Tao has a verified IQ of 230. At eight years old, Tao achieved a score of 760 on the pre-1995 SAT, received a Ph.D from Princeton at 20 and at 24 became the youngest ever full professor at UCLA.

The average American has an IQ of 100.

I have an IQ of 148. Just axe me a question.

It's true. They work smarter and not harder.

When quoting it may be an idea to quote the part you're replying to. Just a tip for the benefit of the hard of thinking.

So where exactly do you think the statue of libery came from?
Do a bit of research, I mean read a few books not just click on a couple of links. Or perhaps you think that's the lazy way of learning.
If factual books are beyond you, I would recomend a couple of Charles Dickins, Tale of Two Cities and Martin Chuzzlewit.

I see now that you are just trying to be funny. It is not working. It is obvious to me (maybe to others) that I have forgotten more about history and western civilization than you will ever hope to know.

In your demented thinking and pretzel logic, trying to understand that, I have no idea what the Statue of Liberty has to do with American Independence. It was a gift from the French people a full 110 years and 3 months after we declared our independence. For sure, the French did play a part in American independence, a deciding part, probably not but that has been debated for some 200+ years now. But the Statue of Liberty has nothing to do with the Colonies' successful fight for independence. The fact is the British military, the British Crown got its ass kicked by a so called rag tag army of farmers and loom operators that by the Grace of God happened to have a group of once in a life time leaders. A group of people that were willing to risk EVERYTHING.

We kicked your ass again in 1812 and have been bailing you out ever since. To be sure the British Empire and the British people have contributed much to western civilization. It probably cannot even be measured it is so significant. But the greatness and contributions to the world that came from the British Isles are no longer relevant if we do not continue to practice and embrace what was given us and what we learned and what we sacrificed so much for. As I stated earlier the UK is committing cultural suicide. That is not even arguable. All that is left for you as a British people to decide is where to place the minarets on Winchester and Ely Cathedrals just to name a couple.

Perhaps if you have a rare lucid moment you can explain to us exactly what the Statue of Liberty has to do with American independence and what was to become the United States of America. Cannot wait for that.

Just in case you think I being smug and ignoring our own problems here, we are rapidly following the British Empire into that abyss of irrelevance if we continue on our current path. Soon, about the only thing left for us to decide is what the new decoration will be atop those church steeples across America, will it be a minaret or a sombrero, or perhaps the Aztec Quetzalcoatl?

Great post SBW! Spot on each and every point. The once vaunted British Empire is no more, and has become irrelevant on the world stage.

My vote is for the sombrero, closely followed by the rag.

Well if you are correct, and I think you are, I sure hope it is a "nice" sombrero!

Do you mean Statue of Library? For the "high IQ" people who can't string words together without misspelling, or using bad grammar, "high IQ" people are very good with the use of the English language. You must be the exception that proves the rule.
