True - the "prosperity" message is a false one, to be sure. It has been preached in so many pulpits, that Christ's return can't be soon enough.

I pray for pastors to remain Christ-centered, not profit-centered. Christ's love is what is needed throughout all ministries. For those who don't believe, the message can't be said often enough. John 3:16.

 That was the same problem Jesus had with religion. The more things change the more they stay the same...and so it goes.

RixPix - If you're trying to be a comedian, I'd suggest you seriously don't think of giving up your current day job. LOL

I think you have it wrong, Heart. For those who don't believe, the message is heard too damn often. Believe what you will. I don't try to convince you to be a non-theist so please give me the same respect.

Profit? Do you mean Prophet?

Actually, Heart, when the Rapture happens it's not too late. The Rapture will be followed by seven years of Tribulation, during which people may still be saved.

Then why even show up on religious threads? I had no interest in what Larry Payne was spewing, or his protege, so I stopped looking at his/their threads or responding to his posts. So why do you keep coming around if you don't want to hear what Christians have to say?

What if Christians are right about the Rapture but wrong about the species? If one morning we find that all of the dogs are gone we will know what happened. The Rapture of the Canines!

Dogs are purer of heart than any human I know...

Maybe because this is not an overtly religious site. No one complains when people like you post here and no one suggests that you post on sites that are set up for people with your belief systems.

Post religious stuff and a secular site and you will and should get a reaction. Get used to it.

My response was to MagicRay who shows up and posts to religious posts and then complains about them. Actually, James is not a believer but makes a lot of posts about religion. Actually, The Attic is exactly where religious and political stuff are meant to go. Take away the religious discussion and all you'll have is politics. How boring!! Especially since there aren't any good jokes on here anymore.

So in essence you are bitching about someone bitching about a post bitching about someone bitching....and on we go.

Actually, as far as the Rapture goes, there is nothing Prophetically that needs to happen before the Rapture. It COULD happen at any time.

Among other things, so hard to believe, Christianity is based on something that is "always going to happen." Like always kicking the ball down the road and out of reach. That is Prophetic in and of itself.

Prophecy does tells us how things are going to end, James. Just not exactly when. Wouldn't you expect a book like the Bible to explain how things end?
