That's a great subject and immediately made me smile and feel happy so critique wise you get the viewer on board straight away
Nice separation of the statue from the stonework behind.
No idea what access you had to this my only concern is that crescent of sky which drags the eye from our happy hero. A viewpoint to either avoid the sky or show smiley just against the sky may have been better.

This is great ... the statue with it's bright happy expression in a great "in your face" shot. Nicely framed against the sunny arch and bright blue sky. The image exudes lightheartedness.

There was a comment regarding the sky. Residing in Pittsburgh, I could have thought that the statue of Fred Rodgers was merely an attempt show off this rare, blue phenomenon.

I can understand why some would think that this sky is a distraction; it is, however, a descriptor of Mr. Rodgers television persona.

This subject requires a very simple presentation - and you have provided one.

Thank you very much lightchime for the kind words did you reside in the Burgh at some time? Most people would not recognize Mr. Rodgers I believe he was a local T.V.show only. thanks again saying hello from Pittsburgh.

Mr. Rogers? Just known inPittsburgh?
There are children all over the English-speaking world who considered him their best American Friend and sorely mourned his passing!

You have done a great job of bringing this statue to life. Mr. Rogers was a favorite of my childhood and I grew up in Alaska.

Thank you Japakomom for looking and taking time to comment. I now was made aware of the fact that Mr. Rogers was very well known. His tv show was broadcasted on a local pubic broadcasting system here in the Pittsburgh area so I was under the impression that it was just a local tv program and hello from Pittsburgh.
