Whirlpool & Double Galaxies.
Whirlpool Galaxy and the Double Galaxy. The Whirlpool actualy has a very faint 2nd Galaxy at the center bottom.
Meade 8"SCT Telescope w/Nikon D800E Camera.
5 Minutes exposures, the wind, 15 MPH, caused a little trailing in both exposures. f/10, ISO 12800
I processed in Lightroom and Topaz Detail3.

Space, the final frontier. Do you have Topaz DeNoise?

Thank you for looking in and the comment.
No I don't have DeNoise I'm beginning to wish I did.
I tried the whole package and only got the Detail3.

Hi Craig. I believe the photo you have of a globular cluster may be M13 or another globular. For sure it's not M51---that's your nice photo of the Whirlpool Galaxy (M51, in Canes Venatici. Is the "Double Galaxy" that you have shown us actually M82 (lower left) & M81 (upper rt.)---both in Ursa Major? I have a C-14, but don't know how to use my camera (Nikon D5100) with it; the camera interprets the connection to the telescope as meaning that there is no lens, and hence won't take photos through it. Any suggestions about that. Your photos are very nice. ---Ed
