72? Dodge Charger as art???

For some reason the owners of a strip club near downtown Dallas decided to put this blacked out Dodge Charger on top of a concrete rectangle set in the ground at a weird angle out front..... Guess it's some kind of machismo thing..... Judging from the oil stain I'm betting that their's still a 383 or 440 under the hood. I had one of these when I was in my early 20's and darn near killed myself in it......

That was one "boss" car.......isn't that what we said back then? ;-)

It is either a 71 or 72. Would have to see the tail lights to be sure. Haven't seen that hanging around town but that sure is different. I am not sure why one would go to the trouble or expense for that....There is also the back half of a small plane sticking out of a building off 820 around the Hurst area too. Different strokes I guess.

That is what we said! That is the reason Ford named a few engines "the Boss" back then. I sure wish I still had my Boss 429 Mustang today. I could fund my retirement on what that's worth today....

I could be wrong, my wife tells me I usually am, but I think that is a 68 or 69. I had a 69 with a 440 six pack and it was wild.

68-70 was a completely different body style. If you had a 69 440 6 Pak it would have actually been classified as a 69 1/2 and had a factory lift off fiberglass hood. That car today is fairly valuable.....

'71. I had one, never thought of it, as 'art'. Never thought of it as a hot rod, either.

I had a 1971 Charger Super Bee 440 6 pak, 4 speed. 1 of 69 ever produced. That was a hot rod.....
