The Tucson Rodeo was last month and here is one of my favorite shots. I like it because watching in real time from across the arena, it is hard to see just how high off the ground the horses get and how hard it is for the cowboy to hang on with just one hand. He is also judged for having his feet high above the horse's shoulders. This rider stayed on for the required 8 seconds and scored high with the judges. Canon 60D, Canon 35-350L set at 230mm, ISO 400, 1/800 sec at f11.

I like this shot, great action! Did you blur the background in PP? The only reason I am asking is because my eye keeps wondering down to the horses feet. Something about them. Otherwise superb photo.

You are correct - I blurred the background in PP but it was not so obvious on my computer. I think I should have cut down on the whiteness of the front hoof and it would not have been as obvious. Good catch.
