I don't mind the religious posts, even from Rac. People can belief what they want and should find whatever comfort they can in an uncertain world.

But there is a line they cross quite often and in so doing do a great disservice to the faith they claim to represent. Of course, I am speaking of the intolerance, close-mindedness and yes, straight up bigotry.

This often happens when they confuse religious faith with right wing politics as in threads titled "why liberals hate God" and so forth. The ones who show obvious lack of respect for anyone who is not in lockstep with them should reflect on the Christian virtues of inclusion, humility, service to others, compassion and peace. I cannot imagine the insults and name calling would want anyone to seek to be Christian.

I don't see the teachings of Jesus reflected on this site very often.

Bazbo, if you would allow that what you attribute to the Christians on this site also comes from the other side I'd agree with your post. It seems that both sides are pretty intolerant. If you don't agree with me in total then you're a this that or the other. I'm a conservative and I catch hell from my fellow conservatives every time I question their position. I find it interesting on the other side of the aisle that you have posters on the liberal side posting crazy stuff and I don't see any liberals jumping in to dispute those posts. Could it be that intolerant cool-aid drinkers make up the majority of both sides?

I agree that there are nuts on both sides in general. Like you, I find myself at odds with my ultra left circle of friends...and sometimes I need to walk them back from a rhetorical cliff. This was especially true in the Bush years when every single thing that was wrong was Bush's fault (sounds kinda familiar in the Obama years, does it not?).

But my post relates only to religious stuff on this site. Although there are occasional postings from aggressive atheists, by far and away most of the religious stuff here comes from the right and the Christian ultra zealots.

As for liberals not taking left wingers to task for crazy stuff, I think you have a point. But that particular point is apropos on both sides. Perhaps both he center-left and the center-right posters here should do a better job of policing their own.

They are the only people who continually bring up race and sexual orientation.

They have a pre-occupation with judging everyone and everything based on races and sex.

They attack a little pizza shops owner, but say nothing about ( because they are cowards ) the muslims who torture. execute and behead anyone gay or not muslim.

If you saw the clip about the muslim bakers who refuse to bake a cake for a gay customer ( a demonstration of the real problem ) you'd see what cowards the Left are.

The Left is nothing but agitating bullies.

The National Organization For Women is as phony as it gets in the struggle for women's rights straight or gay.. They haven's uttered a word about how women are treated in Arab or muslim countries.

The gays have the same problem when ISIS throws gays off of 4th story roofs.

All they worry about is a little pizza shop who won't cater their wedding.
