It does not surprise me. Fads and fashions come and go. And many employers, for better or worse, consider tattooes "low life." I have recently started seeing agencies mentioning "tattoo-free" in model listings and have seen models mentioning "tattoo-free" on their websites and emails. One of the reasons fashion model agencies scout so much in Eastern Europe is that the girls tend to be tattoo-free. Some of the top figure photographers like Hegre also prefer tattoo-free. And of course, Playboy was always known to prefer tattoo-free girls for the centerfold.
If tattooes become passe, I wonder what the next fad will be. Scarification, perhaps? Or subdermal embeds?
