I believe the program is called "ScanViu" that was discussed a few days ago to copy slides. I looked it up and it looks good to me. My question to those of you who have used it: Can the program be used with a Canon printer? Mine is Canon MX320. How do you down load it?

It is VueScan. Not sure how scanning software would work with a printer.

It looks like your Canon scanner is supported. Download the trial version to make sure. VueScan will load the appropriate drivers automatically.

I've been using Vuescan for quite a few years now and find it superior to supplied software that came with my scanners. As with anything there is a learning curve but in the end it makes all your scanning projects move faster. I have setups for scanning documents, for different types of slide and negative film, even for my daily scan of the NY Times crossword which I send directly to my laser printer. It is very flexible and as new scanners come on the market, Ed Hamrick adjusts the program to accomodate them. I am currently using it with an old film/slide Canoscan FS4000 and a flat bed Epson V700.
