I know that warm fuzzy feelion'!! Three years ago, I snatched a totally stock and 90% 1962 Fender Jazz Bass....I already had a 1963 Precision Bass and was sighting in on a '62 Strat.....I play that Jazz Bass, but in all honestly, I can't really notice any difference between that and a three year old Mexican Jazz Bass....ditto Ampeg amps. I use a carvin Bx 1200 amp and the Mexican Jazz 95% of the time.

very nice guitar. I have a custom Martin D12-41 body-D12-42 head and D12-45 inlay. It to 3 weeks short of a year to make it but it is great but I have old age stiff hands now and can't play it any more. I also have an old D12-28. The first year they made them. It is hard to beat the sound of a Martin. I think you will enjoy it as much as the camera. Congrats.

Thanks. Your custom sounds great. I'd love to see a picture of it.

Trust me, I've been a Nikon Shooter for over 50 years, and theirs nothing as good as a Nikon, they are light years ahead of canon.....
One of the cameras I have is a Canon P&S I use occasionally. The wife has a Nikon P&S that she uses occasionally. If she puts the Nikon away for any length of time (more than a couple weeks), she has to pull the batteries out of it or they will go dead. I can store the Canon for a year and come back to it and it will be ready to go. Since you are a Nikon expert with over "50 years" of experience maybe you can tell me what that's all about. What is the camera doing to kill the batteries? Storing the date and time maybe.

As far as "trusting you", why should we? Sounds like the only cameras you have had any experience with in the last 50 years are Nikons, how would you even know what else is out there? When somebody starts the conversation with "trust me", that's when I think they are full of crap.

P.S. Trust me, that should be "there's nothing as good as . . ." instead of "theirs nothing as good as . . ."

Most of the good pictures i've seen have been taken with Canons, That's why I said I wish I had a canon.

I recently purchased a C.F. Martin D45E Retro. It is beautiful. It was between the guitar and a Canon 5d Mark iii. I will still get a camera, but probably the Canon 6d, or see if Canon comes out with a 6d Mark ii..

Remember these words of wisdom:"you can't play the blues in an air conditioned room". Congrats.

Maybe you could took some shots of your guitar and tell
us why it is such a beautiful instrument. What's the difference between that one and one I could buy from Walmart?

If you don't know we won't buy you new hearing aid batteries.

How did you go about having a custom one built? I have seen the Martin site where you can build one online and than order it. Is that what you did?
