1st job, to turn double lead threads on a lathe, but instead of doing old school style, I wire edm cut a double tool cutter, then ran lathe on 5 threads per in. instead of 10.
2nd job, to wire-cut a new gear by just using the worn-out gear on the right to go by.
Very, very good...you cut some nice, clean threads. An interesting project that looks to have come out perfect. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
thanks, most machine tools I use are CNC but I still like to get on this 50 yr. old lathe and do some old school work.

Nice photos and nice machine work. I spent 32 years running various machines - mostly hand machines such as your engine lathe. I enjoyed it for most of the time but now that I'm on the assembly side, I'll never go back. No cameras are allowed where I work though.
