I recently purchased a C.F. Martin D45E Retro. It is beautiful. It was between the guitar and a Canon 5d Mark iii. I will still get a camera, but probably the Canon 6d, or see if Canon comes out with a 6d Mark ii..
Don't think you can do much in the way of photography with your guitar.. Glad the camera is coming, soon I hope.

Well, at least I can take pictures of the guitar.
But you do have a Canon T4i and you do very well with it.

us why it is such a beautiful instrument. What's the difference between that one and one I could buy from Walmart?

Thanks Tamsey, The D45E Retro is made just like the pre-war 1942 D45. Except mine has electronics. It is all hand made and top select grade woods. I played it at Church last Sunday. It is the best sounding guitar I have ever heard. And I've been playing for 36 years and have heard a lot of guitars.

You definitely have your priorities right! You have to show us the gat! I'm building a Martin 000 at the moment.
I picked up a CMF series Martin last year. Its a GPCPA1 Performing Artist Series. The sound is awesome! I have only amped it a couple of times (got a Marshall when I got the new instrument.)
I have only been playing about four years, wish I had started 36 years ago...I would have some serious chops today if I had!
That's my original Seagull in the avatar photo. It's pretty sweet also.
Just saw your photo. Congrats. You got one of the CMF series as well. You are gonna love it, probably did from the moment you picked it up the first time!!! That's what happened to me. Mine is a single side cut out.
When you get your camera, shoot a video of your playing and post it for us!

That's a good one. I actually named it Derm. "D" for d45, e for d45" E", r for Retro & m for Martin.

I have a dcpa3 that I'm selling and I also have a Taylor K26CE & a
18 year old Takamine. The GPCPA1 is a great guitar.
Hi Tracy B, Martins are the best, (so where's the photo). I have a Martin D28 from a Martin Kit. If you get the chance go to the factory and spend the afternoon, (Nazareth Pa ) just outside of Bethlehem.
