I like their reason, "increase profitability." I guess that sounds better than, "avoid going bankrupt." If your store isn't making a profit, it's because people aren't buying what you're selling.

It is a shame Sony does not have a store in Oregon, oh well I don't shoot Sony anyway.

It's tempting to look for good deals when stores close, but the good stuff usually goes first, and it would be a 2 1/2 hour drive for me, plus a big parking bill and about $20 in tolls. :D

Jerry there is a sony store here in San Diego and I went down to check it out Sun. they are not having any sales on anything as yet. the employees there said they don't know when the store is closing they haven't been told anything other then the store is closing.

They'll know it's closing when they arrive for work and find the store empty and locked.
