I took my 13 year old grandson birding yesterday and today. Here are a few of what I managed to capture.

I am not a birder, so I am surprised to see Bald Eagles fishing in eastern Kansas.

I am aware of at least 3 adult pairs that are nesting here in Linn County, in South East Kansas and at least 1 juvenile. I have photographed all of them. I was surprised to find this one about a month ago right here at our city lake in town. I have several hundred photos of this particular bird.
I recommend birding to everyone I know that enjoys getting out in nature. Finding Bald Eagles is definitely an unbelievable thrill and very addicting.

I agree with you. The addiction is because of the human spirit in all of us to want a "better" shot.

That first photo is fantastic! The others are great, too, but #1 is exceptional to me.
Nice set!

Good set. Love the GBH. How did the jr. birder enjoy it?

Thank You, The grandson is anxious to go again. He's been diagnosed ADHD and this is a way for him to channel some of his energy and work on attention to detail.

If he doesn't already have one, make sure you get him a good camera and lens.

He's starting out with my now unused Nikon D3100 and the 18~55mm and 55~200mm lens and has full use of my 35mm and 50mm lens as his knowledge grows. I would hope this is a fair start.
Thanks for viewing.
