Stopped last week to take photos of the Menominee Pier Light, but the weather & sky weren't cooperating. On the way we passed a quilt shop so we stopped & my wife spent some time in there. While waiting I found these.
The sewer grate must be 60+ years old & still going strong, the Neenah Foundry is still in business & one of our sons says he saw one of these in Hawaii.
As a little squirt there was one of these in front of my neighbor's house that we used for second base, but it was made in East Jordan, MI. The East Jordan Iron Works is also still in business.
As photographers I think we are some of the few people who notice these things. Any of you know of other foundries or iron works & have photos? Feel free to add yours here.
