I think this bird should be called red crown instead. Just my opinion. The first photo is not a close up but is part of the series. All shot through my deck glass door. Download for best view....Rich

I have to agree, Rich. Why it was named that I don't know, since the only red it has on the belly is a faint tint. :-) Nice shots of your feathered friends, and I'm so glad you feed them.

Nice shots of the woodpecker, Rich. Just the other day my son told me a red-headed woodpecker was at the feeder. I had to tell him "no, it's a red-bellied". He was so confused. Let's petition to change the name to "red crowned".

I was talking about the close up section when you post a photo when you first open UHH at the bottom of the page. This one was there but sometimes the photos aren't there and you have to search for them. When I try to post to Photo Gallery they are never there so you have to search for them and not everybody will do that. I was just wondering....Rich
