If you install the latest iOS update on you iPhone, you will notice an iWatch icon that cannot be removed. Compulsory, permanent advertising. Is that classy, or what?

I found out yesterday morning when iTunes downloaded the recent update, I originally thought kind of a unique way to advertise a new product, then I found out it was permanent. I was livid, after spending $$$ for the iPhone 6+ having Apple think it was their private billboard. I tried all different ways to get rid of it. I wonder if I can restore from a previous backup? I may look into that.

Do it. What happens when you install 8.03? You're going to get it anyway no matter what you think.

I've been thinking about getting the iPhone the next time around, but they just shot themselves in the foot. I'll stay with Android.

They have a captive audience. I think there're will be so much push back on the hijacking of our phones that the watch app will be short lived. If not, I am exploring other options when my phone is due to be updated.
