I need someone to help me edit the attached photo of me and my siblings. It is the last one I have of the 5 of us and only three of us remain. I am in the back row (or at least I was then) on the right. I want to surprise my remaining sister on her 79th birthday with a quality print of this image all help is greatly appreciated

As an only 1.3 megapixel Olympus camera was used, I would not recommend printing anything larger than 6" on the long side - otherwise ugly pixelation will become obvious.

It shouldn't be too hard to do a passable job on this. I'll post a reworked image later today.

Might be nice to eliminate some of the extra people and the food on the table for the op's purpose.

I understand what you want here is a better version of an irreplaceable photo. There are limits to how much a 1.2 megapixel image can be enlarged and cropped. Certainly someone else could do much better, but here is an attempt.

Your copy was very low resolution but here is my attempt... I did some work on the glasses of the woman and the man, straightened the picture & removed some other distractions also.....

I really like that you were able to eliminate the original background in the second one.

Thanks, since the group is the subject I thought blurring the background would help highlight them... cropping in close and using Gaussian blur helped to accomplish that goal... also the left front flower arrangement was a distraction even though it was more in the foreground -- it drew the eye to the side away from the subject -- so I blurred it also forcing it into the background.

Well it worked well and eliminated the extra head and shoulder that seemed to be growing out of the subjects shoulder. ;)
