Oh my, the one in the sky pales in comparison to your photo. Tamron should use you as their pitch man for this lens.

Regis, this has got to be the best moon shot I have seen yet. Love the detail. I know with bird shots you shoot them handheld, so I am wondering if you used a tripod on this shot. You keep posting shots like this is going to force me to eventually purchase one of these lens. Nice work.

This has to be the best full moon shot I've seen with lots of detail. Most don't have good detail that I have seen including my own....Rich

I have never contacted Tamron for anything. I just enjoy photography and do my thing without having some hidden agenda with camera or lens companies. I thank you, jmdenver, for your nice reply.

Thank you, waltchilds. My moon shots are hand held, no tripod. However, I am contemplating taking a Jupiter shot (Canon 6D/Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm) using a tripod and a remote control shutter since any movement will make for a bad photo. I would not recommend taking a moon shot without a tripod. I'm just used to taking hand held shots over the last 5-6 years plus I take multiple shots and hope at least one turns out well.

Thank you, Michael. When we get clear skies here in North Idaho, they are great for moon photography. There are other UHH members who take excellent moon photos.
