I can just barely see the last line of the crash report but it identifies a core processor cache memory issue. This is likely a software core memory cache utilization or conflict issue. There is some speculation that Adobe has addressed such CPU on board cache conflicts with LR6.

That makes some sense. I have had this problem on two computers, both were AMD's with Gigabyte motherboards. I did a new installation of Windows and Lightroom when I put the new one together. I used the Lightroom backup to put all back right again. I really did not want to keyword all of them again.

Perhaps, I should have used an Intel CPU and Asus or some other mobo manufacturer. But I have been using Gigabytes for years, and AMD CPU"s for that matter.

You know that if you use keywords you wouldn't have that problem and you'd find your photos so much faster. Let the program do the work as it was intended to do.

If your response is that you just have too many without keywords and you can't afford the time to enter them then the adage, "pay me now or pay me later" comes to mind.

I do use key words, heavily, that does somewhat alleviate the problem, but not always.

Mine crashes often....frustrating......relatively up to date computer but three yr old iMac 27"......scrolling fast is also constantly showing " loading" .....so I think the iMac software needs some "updating" or LR5. So u aren't alone!

Sound to me like you may need more RAM, 8Gb is probably to inafficient for what your trying to do in fast motion, just a thought.

Had issues (loading Creative Cloud) the other day and i ended up calling Adobe Tech Support. They were absolutely spot-on in the repairs. I gave him the computer and he (after about 30 minutes) had to remove my old LR3 and reloaded LR5 and all was good to go.

Heres the number if you like, Good luck.

Adobe Support...800.833.6687

The issue is shown in the crash report as being an exception error (c0000005) with an interface between hardware/software & ntdll.dll in Windows. This narrows it down to "everything". Unfortunately, there is no real definable information with the crash report. Try contacting Microsoft through the second link below.

Microsoft has been informed 5 or 6 times in the last 2 years.

I build my own computers. The answer lies with Adobe and they aren't very helpful.

I have found that making absolutely certain that you don't have anything else running at the same time reduces the problem dramatically - I used to have the problem all the time, and now it is very rare.
Hope this helps.

I run Photoshop with everything in the world running including Lightroom and it never crashes.

Do you mean that Lightroom never crashes, or Photoshop?
I don't have any problems with Photoshop, including if Lightroom is running.
The main Lightroom killer for me is Outlook.

Photoshop never crashes. I don't know which version of Outlook you use, but it has a memory leak.
